Intro: Observator's OMC-938 digital weather display unit is specially designed to easily read wind speed and wind direction and four other parameters.

Observator's OMC-938 digital weather display unit is specially designed to easily read wind speed and wind direction and four other parameters. The wind direction is indicated within in a double LED circle 36 leds for average direction and variation. Inside this circles a three digit digital display indicating the wind speed. A second three-digit display located in the lower right corner provides maximum or minimum wind information indicated by LED’s in front of the display.

The wind information can be displayed in m/s, knots, mph, km/h or Beaufort. Selection of these units can easily be made using the MENU option within the integrated membrane keys. Another MENU option is the choice of the averaging interval, which can be set at 2 minutes, 10 minutes or another other “user” programmed interval. When not in the MENU mode the up and down keys are used for brightness control or gust reset.

The OMC-938 is suited to the OMC-410 MultiMet Sensor and the OMC-160 Wind Speed and Direction Sensor. It can also be used with other sensors, however, it requires an OMC-183 Signal Conditioning Unit to measure parameters other than wind which is available through OSIL.

Intro: The OMC-934 Multi-Functional Display Unit is a DIN 144 instrument specially designed for the easy reading of four different parameters.

The OMC-934 Mutli-Functional Display Unit is a DIN 144 instrument specially designed for the easy reading of four different parameters. The instrument is provided with a facility to use interchangeable legends, making it as flexible as possible. Special software versions are available to use the display within a tital radio system, a draught measuring system, and also typical met systems such like barodisplay, temperature display or numeric wind display.

The OMC-934 will require an OMC-183 Signal Conditioning Unit for non-digital inputs which is also available though OSIL.

Intro: Observator's OMC-138 Wind Display is a digital combined display for wind speed and wind direction.

Observator's OMC-138 Wind Display is a digital combined display for wind speed and wind direction. The display is housed in a 144 x 144 mm Din size casing suitable for panel mounting. A tabletop version is available. Any inclination is allowed and no additional control units are required.

Wind direction is indicated within a double LED circle, with the four wind directions. Each circle consists of 36 LED’s for average direction and wind variation, inside the circles a three digit numeric display indicates the wind speed.

A second three-digit display located in the lower right corner provides maximum or minimum wind speed information which can be displayed in m/s, km/h, mph or Beaufort.

Another MENU option is the choice of the averaging interval, which can be set al 2 minutes, 10 minutes or every other user programmed “user” interval.

The unit was primary intended to use with the Obsermet wind sensors, but other most common sensors can be interfaced to the display.

Intro: The Obsermet wind display from Observator
Instruments BV is a combined display for wind
speed and wind direction.

The “Obsermet” wind display from Observator Instruments BV is a combined display for wind speed and wind direction. The unit incorporates a digital LED indicator for speed and a double ring of 36 LED’s to indicate average direction information and wind variation.

The wind display signals directly from the wind sensor as T.T.Y. or RS422 without the need for additional interfaces.

Daisy chain connectors may be used to transfer wind sensor information to a second wind display. Depending on the capacity and type of cable used, a distance (of) up to 1000 m is possible. The wind display power supply can be set to meet customer’s specific requirements.

The front panel of the ship-borne wind display shows 0º-180º on both sides of the scale. Housing available with bracket for ceiling, wall, table top mounting.
